Dr. Beasley is the founder of this non-profit international project
concerned with providing the latest scientific information on alcoholism
and chemical dependency diagnosis, prevention and treatment.
Dr. Beasley has been a consulting physician, educator, author,
international lecturer, and policy advisor to the Addiction End Program.
During the past thirty years he has lead both inpatient and outpatient
bio-behavioral treatment teams who have been responsible for the
diagnosis and treatment of more than twenty thousand patients with
chemical dependency and/or acute psychiatric conditions.
Dr. Beasley has served as a professor and department head at Harvard
and Tulane Universities, Dean of the School of Public Health and
Tropical Medicine at Tulane University, Chairman of Planned
Parenthood Federation of America and as a member of the National
Commission on Population Growth and the American Future.
Dr. Beasley is currently advising on the second printing of the fourth
edition of his book, Diagnosing and Managing Chemical Dependency.
This critically acclaimed book for professionals in the addiction fields
was first published in 1990 and was used as a part of the American
Medical Association and A.M.A. T.V. Campaign to educate physicians on
substance abuse.
The first printing of the Fourth Edition was published in the year 2001

Mary Cheney is the current Director and the co-founder of the
Addiction End Program. Since 1994 she has worked along side Dr.

prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of addictions.
- Help overcome the existing ignorance regarding addictions
by educating the public on addictions and the recovery
process.
- Empower professionals, their patients/clients and their
families to understand and help in prevention, diagnosis, and
treatment of alcohol, drugs, and other addictions.
| The Mother and Child Corporation has been a tax-exempt non- profit corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code since its inception in 1974. It was founded by former national and international students of Dr. Beasley’s alumni group as an ongoing resource to facilitate education and policy development issues. This group consists of former residents, fellows, master or doctoral graduate students who participated in training programs directed by Dr. Beasley. Attorney Leon Rudloff has been the president of this non-profit organization since its establishment. |
